Planet Zoo 2 is not available on Nintendo Switch or Switch 2. As of 20 October 2026, there are no current plans to release it on either system. There is no confirmed Nintendo release date to count down to.
The available platforms are PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The 13 October 2026 launch date applies to the released game; it does not establish a later Switch or Switch 2 release.
Check the two Nintendo systems separately
| System | Current Planet Zoo 2 status |
|---|---|
| Nintendo Switch | No current release plans |
| Nintendo Switch 2 | No current release plans |
| PC | Available |
| PlayStation 5 | Available |
| Xbox Series X|S | Available |
Switch 2 being a different system does not change the published status. Neither console has a confirmed version in the current platform information. Equally, “no current plans” is a dated statement, not proof that a port can never happen.
Avoid buying the wrong product
If a search result appears to offer a Nintendo copy, check these details before spending money:
- Confirm the full title is Planet Zoo 2. A result about the original Planet Zoo or another zoo-building game is not a sequel listing.
- Check the stated platform rather than the picture or search headline. PC, PS5 and Xbox copies are not evidence of a Switch version.
- Look for a real Nintendo platform announcement and a matching product listing before treating a date, preorder or download claim as confirmed.
There is no verified Switch-specific download, cartridge edition, control layout, storage requirement or performance target to recommend here. A Nintendo logo in an unofficial mock-up cannot establish any of those details.
Choose a supported platform if you want to play now
PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are the supported console options. Both gamepad and mouse-and-keyboard play are supported on console, and the console game has a complexity meter for its building limit. If you prefer a computer, check the Windows requirements for the PC edition before choosing it.
GeForce NOW availability for Planet Zoo 2 is confirmed separately, but that does not establish a Nintendo cloud app or a way to stream the game on Switch. Do not buy a PC copy on the assumption that it will run on your Nintendo hardware.
