Design the entrance as a connection
An entrance has two jobs in this original plan: establish the zoo’s identity and get visitors into the rest of the route. Three planned public zones separate those jobs: arrival, the onward route and an optional side destination. These are design labels, not mandatory game zones. The plan deliberately postpones its decorative building shell until its connections work.

The minimal frontage variant leaves the landmark branch unbuilt. The landmark variant makes it a small returning loop, so a viewing stop is not the only connection to the rest of the zoo. No branch width, guest capacity or profit uplift is prescribed.
Establish the site conditions
Before drawing a facade, decide where the entry route meets the first attraction. Inspect the terrain around both connections. If the first animal viewing frontage sits immediately in front of the entry, an attractive centerpiece can also become the first place where visitors stop. Leave the option to move a decorative object without moving the habitat staff gate or rebuilding the entrance.
Use the current game tools to prove each connection. The plan does not assume the predecessor’s exact path controls, hotkeys or guest throughput. For an access issue, consult the path diagnosis guide and identify the symptom before applying a fix.
Build in an order that preserves access
First connect the entry to the main route and the first viewing area. Next reserve a side approach for the required staff facilities. Keep the entrance court free of optional buildings while you check that both routes are connected. Only after these checks should you fit walls, roofs, signs and landscaping around the route.
If you choose the landmark branch, build its return connection before placing the attraction. The plan is still usable with the landmark absent. That makes it easier to isolate a problem introduced by a shop, viewing area or scenery group: compare movement with that optional element removed from the save revision, then restore it after testing an adjustment.
Treat the facade as an adjustable layer
Pick a consistent architectural idea for the frontage, but leave the route geometry independent of it. A woodland arrival, conservation center or contemporary aquarium facade can all use the same connection structure. The realistic design guide helps distinguish believable scenery composition from actual animal care requirements.
A large decorative door does not itself establish a connected path. A service door in a scenery building does not itself prove that staff can reach the actual facility. Check the functional access in the game rather than judging it from an attractive screenshot.
Diagnose the first busy period
These are testable planning responses, not confirmed launch bugs or engine rules. Change one node at a time and observe the same condition again.
Before saving the entrance as a creation
Check that the public route continues into the zoo, the landmark has a return when it is included and staff access still reaches actual facilities. Record which parts are functional and which are scenery only. If you later publish a creation, document its game version, required content and any elements that must be connected after placement. This article is a manual design plan and supplies no import code.
Frontier’s official store description confirms Planet Zoo 2 construction and Frontier Workshop creation sharing. The route structure is our editorial recommendation, not an official blueprint. Return to the build library, pair this frontage with the starter loop, or read the entrance design guide for a wider set of planning choices.
Separate arrival, onward circulation and an optional landmark branch before decorating the entrance of your Planet Zoo 2 zoo.
When the design needs to change
Protect current animal needs and functional access before preserving the visual shell.
