Overview
Flying habitat, not a first-game assumption
The current official filter places Greater Flamingo in Habitat - Flying. Its recorded biomes are Estuarine, Temperate and Wetlands. That matters when choosing a habitat system: a familiar name from the first game is not permission to reuse the first game's enclosure classification.
What the official description adds
The publisher describes a migratory wetland bird that feeds by filtering mud and shallow water, with flock living and coordinated breeding displays. Those details can inform a wetland theme; they are biological context, not a game rule for water area, flock size or breeding success. Read the official species entry.
Build a wetland aviary with separate flight and water checks
- Choose the current Flying classification instead of reusing the first game's flamingo enclosure assumption. Build the contained outline and staff gate, then select the habitat and use Add Roof.
- Compare the species' requirement with Flyable Area in the aviary Info Panel. Inspect the wetland and ground arrangement separately; a picturesque lagoon does not report how much flying space the game recognizes.
- Plan the intended flock using the actual species social information. The publisher's flock and coordinated-breeding description does not determine the game's permitted count or male-to-female composition.
- Inspect the intended guest view at the birds' ground, shallow-water and flight levels. Only add an interior guest route when the exact species information supports walkthrough access.
Wetland aviary checks
| Concern | Check | Design response |
|---|---|---|
| The enclosure is familiar but unroofed | Current Flying home category and roof | Use the sequel's roofed-home workflow |
| Flying space is insufficient | Flyable Area against the species requirement | Evaluate roof height or enclosure expansion, then reread the result |
| The lagoon is attractive but care is unresolved | Actual water and species welfare information | Keep visual wetland design separate from the care check |
| Breeding is planned | Current pair and suitable claimed-nest requirements | Use supported nesting information rather than real flock size |
Comparison and cohabitation
If your plan groups Greater Flamingo with another wetland species, compare the habitat-system tags first. A shared Wetlands tag only describes an overlap in classification. Check the animal's actual social and interspecies panels before moving both species into one home.
Source boundary and next step
Flight-space minimums, water provision and social limits remain unverified in this public record. Use the aviary size guide for measurement and the breeding guide for the nesting sequence.
These are species-led planning checks using publisher classifications verified 13 October 2026, not a hands-on care test. Return to the animal database for the dated source fields and to the compatibility guide for the separate pair-evidence decision.
